Sti-KEN Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 After nearly 5 months I finally bought some tyres for the new wheels & went to get them put on the car. After forking out £290 on 4 Yokohama Prada Spec2's the damn wheels wouldn't fit [] Fortunately it was an easy fix just had to buy some new wheel bolts [8-)] So a trip down to Halfauds & £22 later i'd ordered some Tuner Bolts & finally got the wheels fitted on Tuesday [H]
scooby princess Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 Personally i dont like gold alloys but these do look rather smart and i can t wait to have a look on sunday if we make it
monkip1 Posted May 11, 2007 Posted May 11, 2007 £290 for 4 yokahoma's Where you buy them from, i might need the number for when i destroy my tires lol. I like them, the silver really does contrast with your arches to show how big they are. Monki.
Sti-KEN Posted May 11, 2007 Author Posted May 11, 2007 The rim's are 17's with 205/40 Spec 2's hence they we're cheap. Got them from Bathwick Tyre's in Swindon. Phone number is 01793 822260 took them a couple of days to order them in so you might want to order them in advance.
monkip1 Posted May 11, 2007 Posted May 11, 2007 Spot on im running 17's atm, standerd Oz. Theres a Bathwick tired in Bristol hopefully they are just as cheap.
Sti-KEN Posted May 11, 2007 Author Posted May 11, 2007 They should cost the same price. If they quote you higher, just tell them you can get them from the Swindon branch for £282.71 balanced & fitted []
edmondo Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 very nice Ken - however same as SP - Not a Gold Fan - however if they were a nice dark colour
edmondo Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 A matter of personal taste mate - Not a Gold Fan - prefer darker colours on a Dark Car.....................Some nice Anthracite ones I want similar to whats on the DBM
Sti-KEN Posted May 16, 2007 Author Posted May 16, 2007 I didnt want the wheels to be all one colour as i like to do things different to the norm' it has to be unique & the only colour's that would've worked with the planes for the car would've been White or Gold. I didnt want to go for Black/Anthracite/Bronz or any other dark colours as they would blend into the car to much and not be noticed, however all Gold would make them stand out to much and become the sole focal point making any bodywork pointless. So when i found these i just had to buy them as they work perfectly with everything thats already done & soon to be done on the car, plus there a much pailer Gold than they look in the pic's so there not over powering.
insane clown Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 look really nice mate... i'm a gun metal type of fan but those do look right, a mate of mine has those fitted to his silver wrx. let us know how you get on with those paradas, i got 215/40/17's on mine and it's all over the shop in the wet, tonnes of understeer, but hey......fekin great in the dry[Y]..and nice tread pattern[] mark
