clutch burning

hi peeps need some help i was sitting lat night with my scooby revved high to pull away the car moved of i took the car to the red line in first then i power changed into second gear and floored it again but the rev counter was still sitting on the red it was like it had jammed i started to slow down and it stayed like that for a few morew seconds pulled up and all i could smell was the clutch burning badly the car is a my99/00 uk 2000 turbo any ideas i went to pull away normally again and it started to judder any help will be greatly appreciated cheers scoobzie

My clutch was doing that when it was ready to give up. How many miles has the car done and is it the original clutch?

hi mate the car has done 71000 miles and i think it is the same clutch from new i am the 3rd owner so really i dont no what to do cheers for the reply scoobzie

no wonder its sh4agged ,redline in every gear eh!!!!
