Help cel light after fitting a BB

Me again reident pain.

My dads workmate bought a 03 PPP wrx last week. 

And has bought Young buck`s exhaust for it.

we try`d to fit the backbox and centre section last night but found out it is a classic centre section for fitting to the decat downpipe,

so anyways we just left it and fitted the backbox mated to the standard center section.

The backbox is a hayward and Scott jap style one.

When scotty was driving to work this morning tho he noticed his CEL had came one.

 

Question is how would a back box affect this? never ever heard of just a backbox bringing a cel on.

Can't imagine it was the BB... did you remove the standard centre section before realising it was the wrong one.. maybe hit one of the sensors (EGT) or something??

Also, does the WRX PPP not remove the centre cat?

Also wouldnt imagine that the BB would throw a cell. PPP deletes the 3rd cat in WRX's the centre section has no cat just a resonator section.
