C J K Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 Urban(Steven) ,my neebs down the road has a ppp hawkeye I'll point him to this thread but i think he's away down sarf till Thursday.
frazer_gallagher Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 tsl do a better kit than the ppp its a remap, exhaust system, panel filter and fuel pump 1600+vat =330bhp 333 tourqe pulse extraction exhaust 300pound extra well worth it had the above put on in sept on my spec-d no problems went back to tsl 3 weeks ago ceramic headers intercooler and map tweak 380-85bhp give them a fone and ask for graeme or john
RS Grant Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 Does that not totally screw your warranty up mate!? Also, thought that the standard Turbo kinda ran out of ideas above 350bhp. Cheers, Grant
st3ph3n Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 G. Mac's over 350 on the standard turbo. Running a methanol mix now though.
RS Grant Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 Yea, but his turbo's been 'fiddled' with slightly.... I mean as standard without porting or funky fuel. [] Plus, as far as I've been able to gather, the 2.5 STi runs a Non-Twin Scroll VF43 turbo instead of the VF35.... But thats where my knowledge runs out as I've not been able to find out anything else about the VF43, spec, limits etc. Cheers, Grant
frazer_gallagher Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 grant it depends on the dealer some dont have a problem some do ask nicely. tsl did a spec-d excactly same spec as i got done and dynoed at 380 on a very hot day the 2.5 has the ability to get more power the extra 500c.c makes all the difference but the bottom end is only capable for no more than 410 bhp ish then its big money!

I think the 2.5L and VF43 combo would be good for 380bhp+
RS Grant Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 Yea, I worded it incorrectly... I'm aware the 35 isnt twin-scroll, but it looks like I wasnt. Haha!! [] Still hunting for info on the VF43, sent an e-mail to Mr F for further info/help too.. just waiting for a reply. [H] Cheers, Grant
gary_johnson Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 Got it fitted to my spec D ..its quick and you get back the scooby exhaust note.

Ali_ Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 I have a ppp on my 2.5 sti and i have to say its incredible and i highly recommend it, once we had the ppp fitted there was a significant difference in the speed and the exhaust will sound a little louder but i would not recommend other performance packs as it will for defanite affect your warranty, i also asked the dealer in regards to this and they advised if there was any future problems with the vehicle it could easily be put down to the aftermarket performance pack and the warranty won't cover it. I hope this helps.
urban Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 As CKL says, i have a 07 STI with PPP, got it delivered with it on and the demo i drove was a Spec D with PPP so i cant say i have had a shot of a standard 2.5. However i have heard the standard car and the PPP is loads better, sounds good but doesnt spoil a motorway drive. The car has loads of guts, large amount of its low down as well so you dont have to thrash it about however it does love to go up the top end. Well work it and no waranty issues, thats what sold it to me. Spend the cash and enjoy, that would be my advice
craig_harey Posted May 5, 2007 Author Posted May 5, 2007 cheers guys passed on your comments cheers !! Craig
