cullenmin Posted April 29, 2007 Posted April 29, 2007 Was a good day like, pity about the dullness and chilly wind. Chuffed that I bet my previous time, even though it was only by 0.07 seconds lol very nice RB320, that just so happened to have MY number plate[] Rich
wrxchris Posted April 29, 2007 Posted April 29, 2007 was a good day, not the same when your not racing though! was very impressed with the white evo rs, saw it doin a 11.17
scientific steve Posted April 29, 2007 Posted April 29, 2007 aye good to catch up with a few folk down there today and sorry about jumping the que [] werent my fault that a GT 4 wanted to race me []
cullenmin Posted April 30, 2007 Posted April 30, 2007 Quote what was ur best time steve?? 12.8, quarter mile time list has been updated for ya steve
Jamis Posted April 30, 2007 Posted April 30, 2007 yip good day saw a few of you's there but wasnt sure to come and say hi,lol met pugpaul tho and we had 2 runs up the strip,i was in haz's ra as didnt take mine up this time.
RS Grant Posted April 30, 2007 Posted April 30, 2007 Yea, was good fun today... First time on the strip in a Newage Scoob and was pretty impressed that I managed a 13.2 @ 104mph considering the car is standard and only JUST run in. [] Steve, that was my mate in the White GT4, his PB today was 13.3 @ 103mph... which is not bad for a CAT-back exhaust and boost controller. [H] Cheers, Grant
RS Grant Posted April 30, 2007 Posted April 30, 2007 Couple of pics of Me (Right) and Melly-Doo (Left) in action... [H] Cheers, Grant
RA Dunk Posted April 30, 2007 Posted April 30, 2007 Quote Couple of pics of Me (Right) and Melly-Doo (Left) in action... [H] Cheers, Grant nice one grant, good to see people that aint afraid to put a new car through its paces []
fai17 Posted April 30, 2007 Posted April 30, 2007 Quote Couple of pics of Me (Right) and Melly-Doo (Left) in action... [H] Cheers, Grant Nice one Grant...and a PB time too[Y]
clarke Posted April 30, 2007 Posted April 30, 2007 Didnt run mine yesterday but some good times from Grant. Wasn't impressed they charge a tenner to get in tho.
Melly-Doo Posted April 30, 2007 Posted April 30, 2007 Yesterday was a good day out but i cant really say the same for my car [] Found it very difficult to get it off the line without bogging down or rattling the rear diff. On the occasion the wheels broke traction for a great start my car jump out of 1st gear[:@] which i dont think it should be doing. Only managed a 13.7 when the car is clearly worth a low 13 at least. O well maybe next time. God loves a tryer [] Cheers Melly
scientific steve Posted April 30, 2007 Posted April 30, 2007 cheers guys yep, i would deffo say that the 20g is working fine [] Grant, had a good bleather with yer mate, pretty good time for him too
ChemX Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 definatley a good day on sunday, popped my strip cherry and was well chuffed with the 13.9s i was runnin from my nearly standard wagon. same as jamis i saw loadsa cars i recongised off here but was a bit shy(1st time for everything i suppose lol)at saying hi, but got plenty of waves n nods. think i was the run just before you grant against the your mate in the white gt4 when he got the 13.3.
RS Grant Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 Yep, I think this is you just away to race here... A 13.9 isn't bad at all for your first time on the 1/4 mile either. [H] Cheers, Grant
kinghorn Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 yeah was a good day didnt have my car down, one good thing was tho, Cullenmin beat an evo, woop
dan_jess Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 Had a great day! Busiest ive seen the place in ages! Lots of very nice cars ther. Was good to see Grant puttin the new car down the strip, i was surprised how quick it was goin! Saw loadsa scoobs but they were either on the strip or ther owners were nowhere to be seen. Has anyone got anymore pics of the quick evo, it was really impressive! I thot it wud be good when i saw it coming in on the trailer. Overcast most of the day and i still managed to get Crail Face haha. Who owns the black classic that says 'SCOOBY' on the back? It was a quick car!
RS Grant Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 Aye, the Spec-D is not shy for a standard Newage that weighs as much as the moon. [] Not sure whos Black Classic that was, had a Scoobyclinic Sticker in the back windows, so it might well have been down south for some engine work/fettling..... certainly went well. [H] Unfortunate to hear that you were struck by Crail Face, but it happens to the best of us mate!! lol [] Cheers, Grant
RS Grant Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 Yea, my mate that was racing the other Spec-D (Melly-Doo on here) used to own the White ST205 and has just sold it to our mate... only mods are a cat-back exhaust and boost controller at 1.15bar. Going to be interesting when he puts a downpipe and hybrid turbo on the thing, he might force us into Andy F'ing the Spec-D's sooner than was initially planned!! [] Cheers, Grant
RS Grant Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 Hahaha, ok ok... didn't realise I was that transparent!! [] Cheers, Grant
fai17 Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 Go on then Grant......there hasn't been any/many modified spec D yet...[Y]
