Hi All,

For the well known 5th gear slipping out issue on a MY99 Jap import STi... i know the fix is to remove back end of box and tighten (replace) nut then put back together,

What i'm wondering is where to get it done? I have a mate who has a mechanics but doesn't do too much on gearboxes or Subaru's so if there is somewhere decent that has done this specific job before it may save hassle to get it done by them!

 

Tried phoning Greers but they weren't too sure about this issue......

there is a place in hillington industrial estate m8 they advertise in the back of the motormarket weekly they do alsorts of repair types i will trye and get the number for u

Kenny Brown Motor Engineers in Hillington. Been servicing, building and supporting Subaru Rally cars for years, does all my gearbox work, and above all is very reasonable considering the vast experience he has.

Thanks guys, i'll try calling Kenny Brown on Monday as first port of call... had a couple of recommendations for him now...
