nick_boxfordwhite Posted April 17, 2007 Posted April 17, 2007 Cheaky request time. I've got a 2005 WRX and am looking at taking the leap for the PPP pack given the SIDC deal that is on offer. Problem is I'd like to go out in a car with it fitted to get an idea of how much it changes the driving characteristics, and if it increases cabin noise significantly.... Seams like none of the dealers within easy reach have any PPP cars around to drive, so as second best I was wandering if someone would be willing to take me for a short spin so I could try to gauge the changes albeit from the pasenger side. I live and work in North Swindon - if you would be willing to take me for a short run I would be eternally grateful ;-)

jd Posted April 17, 2007 Posted April 17, 2007 welcome to sidc. as someone who had PPP fitted to my STI, it is worth it at the special offer price, but be warned, you will want more as time progresses. []

HairyDJ Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 I should be at the Oxon meet in May, if that's any good to you? October 2004 WRX wagon with PPP fitted at 1k service Cheers, David
nick_boxfordwhite Posted April 18, 2007 Author Posted April 18, 2007 Thanks everyone for your welcome! I'm actually a returning member, I've had Subaru's for 7 years now, starting with a UK Turbo MY00, then an STI7, and after a year break when I tried to grow up (sort of expected thing having turned into a family man) I reverted under the excuse of another mid life crisis and got the WRX MY05. I did the Isle of Man Bash in the STI 7 a few years ago and would love the chance to do that one again!!!! I used to be very active in the local events, and I must do my best to get away from the nappies and join in again...I even organised a couple of Cotswold runs in my time, one jointly with the Sporting Bears Motor Club (SBMC) for whom I am still an active fund raiser - if any of you keep True Grip back issues I've written a few articles for them and did one on the SBMC activities a couple of years ago. I suspect I may have to make my mind up on the PPP before the May meet as the local dealer said the offer was a limited period and they thought it would be fully subscribed soon, but thanks for that offer.
