topher51 Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 hello chaps , could any one tell me if seats from a 2003 impreza will fit a year 2000 classic or will they ned to be shoe horned in with loads of fuss and nonsense that would make it not worth the effort. Thanks Chris
baser999 Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 No idea I'm afraid, although there's no doubt someone here who will be able to tell you. By the way welcome to Kent Scoobies. There's a thread on page 2 of the Kent home site "Kent Scoobies, please sign in......" and if you haven't already done so stuff your introduction on there and you'll get all of the mad people in the club introduce themselves. They are all mad, the voices in my head tell me they are............................[]
topher51 Posted April 14, 2007 Author Posted April 14, 2007 thanks for the info, have done the intro but was a while ago, and not been on again since , maybe i should do it again, cheers Chris
Dalthegooner Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 I know the swop can be done but, as far as I know, its not straightforward. If I remember correctly you need to change the runners on the front seats and the back seats are a bit of a squeeze but use the same fixing mounts (Although I'm ready to be shot down in flames on this []).
Baz69birds Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 ive Put P1 seats in my '94 classic & the bloke i bought them off was Putting '04 seats in his '02 If this helps..
Pele Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 New age seats are bigger and do require a lot of fiddling and changing of runners etc. to get right and it's a very tight squeeze - I was told this when I enquired. At the end of the day it all depends on how much patience you have lol, also you'll have the problem of the rest of the interior not matching.....
tony_cousins Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 They do fit all you have to do is change the runners on the front seat and as said by Dal the rears are a little tight !!!! Easy job should only take and hour tops hope this helps Tony
topher51 Posted April 17, 2007 Author Posted April 17, 2007 Thanks guys , seems like it is possible without having to take a couple of weeks off work to do it , all i need now r the seats lol. oh and interior matching not gonna be a problem as they don't match now !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol

woody-cdas Posted April 17, 2007 Posted April 17, 2007 I wouldn't mind changing my seat for V5 or V6 ones as mine give me chronic back ache and there is no adjustment in them. Let us know how you get on.
topher51 Posted April 17, 2007 Author Posted April 17, 2007 no probs , as soon as i get it all sorted ,( money being the problem at the mo ) will either congratulate every one on the wonderful advice given , or , well lets not go there.lol
