wedmonds1 Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 Hi People, Advice please.... I am know everyone has a view on dump valves for and against but i was wondering if anyone could answer some questions about them: 1) What are the industry leading ones? 2) Are there models which you can turn the 'woosh' noise of at the flick of a switch? If so, what make and model are these? 3) Whats people experience of them? p.s i know i have one and i can actually hear it since getting the 333 conversion etc...
granby Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 All i can say is keep the standard one or go for a forge recirculating D/V not VTA (woosh sound type), been there and done it, had the VTA D/V on for the flamer but in the end i went back to the standard D/V and the car seems to run smoother and better [Y]
wedmonds1 Posted April 13, 2007 Author Posted April 13, 2007 hmmm.. those are the sort of comments i need, keep em coming...
baser999 Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 Wayne, there's a couple of d/v on the For Sale section - don't know if they're any good ?
wedmonds1 Posted April 13, 2007 Author Posted April 13, 2007 I dunno if i really want one at the moment.. Can you turn the noise of with some of them or did i make that up?
vickyk Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 Hi Wayne The is a few adjustable dump valves made by a company called GFB (go faster bits) there are an australian based company and they do one that can be controlled from inside the car. Very pricey tho at arounf the 350 mark! Hope that helps Vicky K

I have the baileys VTA - I don't mind the whoosh noise as it's not really loud but it can be really annoying when i'm on the motorway as it seems to ssssssssssssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh constantly when i'm driving between 70 -80 even though I am way off boost at about 10-15 psi vacuum.
wedmonds1 Posted April 13, 2007 Author Posted April 13, 2007 Top advice, the company has a good website with nice movies on it. Even shows you how to install one. Really nice to watch. They have companies in the U.K that distribute them but they are expensive alright... I would definetly want one that i can turn down or off.
darryl_martin Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 Did Audiofusion have one? Have got a forge vta on mine and so far no probs.

It didn't really affect the car running that much although it did make the car a bit jerky on part throttle but when i did put the standard D/V back on the car just felt smoother []
