cupradave Posted April 8, 2007 Posted April 8, 2007 Dunno where to start really [:@] Was just now coming back from Ramsey to Douglas over the mountain. I was taking it easy (about 70ish) as the Helen was in the car with me when this complete kn0b comes flying up behind me in a bog standard, everyday run of the mill Forrester (Burgundy with black plastic bumpers, did not get the plate unfortunately). He pulled up behind me so close he could probably see what was on the back seat of my car. Then on a rather dangerous right hand bend he puls out and goes past, he then had to pull back in for the sharp blind left that was to follow (if there had been any cars coming the other way he would have been screwed). He pulled in and got it completely wrong and ended up pulling right off the road into the ditch (you know how the tarmac just stops and there is nearly a foot drop before the grass verge?) on the inside of the left hand bend nearly putting the Forrester on its side as he forced it back out. This completely freaked out the Mrs who thought he was gonna crash and us into him, (which upset her enough for her to properly cry) not to mention what I can only describe as the boulders he threw up behind him and into the front of my car. [:@] It has taken me 20 mins to calm Helen down, and now my pride and joy has a chipped windscreen and a whole load of chips on the front end. [] I am so angry [:@] I mean I was doing 70ish, was there any need to go past me? was there something that important he felt he had to go past? Its w4nkers like that, that cause the accidents and fatalities on the mountain which the health and safety, nanny state, speed limit campaigners pick up on. These are the drivers who are spoiling it for everyone else, people such as ourselves, who respect the road and do not abuse the fact it has no speed limit driving outwith the cars ability let alone thier own. Oh and I did check the back of the car and there was nothing on it saying "race me" and thinking back I did nothing to give him the idea I wanted to either. [:@][:@][:@][:@]
craigy Posted April 8, 2007 Posted April 8, 2007 rant over !!!!! its true wot you say tho mate , it is people like that really wind me up, do they not realise the seriousness of there actions?? theres a time and a place for this kind of thing happened to my dad last week but he had a new warrior, the guy going round him then slamed his brakes on wreaking his car in the process, got out claiming my dad was trying to run him off the road makes me mad , but i think he was trying do an insurance scam, which backfired cos he was arrested for dangerous driving due to 1. eye wittneses and the skid marks or summit, dads car only had minor damage aswell lol glad that yours two health isnt damaged tho , other than a high heart rate , and no writen off car still, no need for this kind of thing what so ever
graeme_stuart Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 Glad you 2 are ok. Ive just benn over to peel castle, and watched some litte t*t in a rover 200 doing about 60 down the harbour with R plates on. missed his reg though.[:@]
heazille Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 You could still report it Dave, Time and place for everything and there are some real idiots out there. But, there are not likely to be more than 2 or 3 of them on the rock so will not be too difficult to sort out Ta Ta Richard
cupradave Posted April 9, 2007 Author Posted April 9, 2007 John and Donna came to the house for a cuppa today and John said there is one that parks round the corner from BC's in Ramsay identical to the one I described. In hindsight I should have reported it at the time mate, not that the Police could do anything about it as he did not actually crash or cause me to, and the fact I did not get the plate does not help. I will deffinately be on the look out for him and if I do see him again I will say something
Johnuk300 Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 Yes me and Donna would lie to thank you for inviting us for the cupper. we will all have to meet up soon
Johnuk300 Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 Well on the way home from work I saw one of the cars that I was telling you about had a look to see if I could see any damage on it but there was none,
cupradave Posted April 10, 2007 Author Posted April 10, 2007 From the way he went into the ditch and threw up all that crap I would suspect there may be some scratches or something somewhere on the offending car Cheers for checking John [Y]
