markymark Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 Bought a scorpion rear box off e-bay, the seller said it was for 03 model, get home & looks like a classic fitment, will it fit ok ? do l have to bend the front hanger or grind it off & re-weld it on again pointing the other way ? cheers mark []
gus the bus Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 Marky, If you can bend the front hanger through 180 degrees it will fit but tbh you are probably best to get someone to weld on a new one based on the box your removing. The other hangers are exactly the same for newage/classic. I know that the TSL group N box that I have comes with two front hangers (one classic one newage) and bolts so that you can fit on either. markymark Posted April 6, 2007 Author Posted April 6, 2007 Cheers Gus, that's what I thought [:$] is this definately for a classic ?
gus the bus Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 2 mins and I'll check marky but pretty sure thats the way round for the classic. back in 2. Gus
gus the bus Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 Yip Marky, thats deffo a classic fitment[:S]. should be easy enoughto cut and reweld for someone with oxy tho as the hanger is simply reversed. or just re-sell it on here to a classic owner[]
markymark Posted April 6, 2007 Author Posted April 6, 2007 much appreciated [] got to e-mail the c#nt from e-bay to tell him it's for a classic

I havn't got the new car yet, still on it's way from japan but trying to get the bits together so l can get them fitted straight away []
gus the bus Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 Marky, I think cutting and re-welding would be better as you can get the shape and positioning better IMHO. Gus
markymark Posted April 6, 2007 Author Posted April 6, 2007 Thanks a lot Gus, get my dad to do tomorrow []
