Hi guys,

I've got a 99 Subaru Impreza and I'm hoping one of you might be able to help.  I'm getting an intermittent high pitch noiserattlesqueak occasionally and its doing my head in.  If i'm doing say 50 when its doing it and I brake it will stop and will start again when I lift off the brake.  It weird though cos it doesn't do it all the time.  I know I aint given you much to go on but was wondering if anyone else has had a similar thing before or any ideas what it might be?

How old are your pads? May be a wear indicator that rubs on the disc when the pads get low making a high pitched squeal.

Only had the car a few weeks so not sure when the pads were last done.  I'll have to check em.  Hopefully it is just that[:|]

Got an 00 classic but this isn't something I've had on mine, so sorry can't help.

Anyway, welcome to Kent Scoobies

sounds like the pads are rubbing, take them out give it a clean up and put them back in with copper slip on the back face
