I was reliably informed to remove the bottom half of the air box in the inner wing to help it breath better..It was before i took the car to get mapped .

I really would'nt do away with the air filter all together, you always need clean air [:o]

I have a HKS mushroom filter on mine and sometimes I feel the need to put the standard air box on with just an upgraded filter....

You might want to fit an induction kit or an aftermarket panel filter but I wouldn't run for long without any air filter at all. It will work for a short time... and potentially never again afterwards.

Don't do it mate... As said above... or say goodbye to your MAF sensor... along with all the other possible problems. think of a sand blaster and the mess that makes.
