Jamis Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 Ok got hold of a set of brembo calipers from a newage scoob, what i'm after is advice on what disc to go for? My car is a my97 uk turbo so do i get discs to match the calipers(standard ones)or after market ones ???and what diameter ?? Thanks Jim
wilky Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 You will need the 320mm discs from the newage rather than the 294mm or 277mm discs from the old brakes. Im sure ill be corrected if im wrong, but the gold brembos will mount onto your hubs with the spacing for the 320mm discs, They will enhance your braking muchos fandango and you will be well pleased. You wont get them under 16 inch wheels however. Enjoy Callum W
dipsy Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 The newage sti disc's are 330mm front and 305mm back if that's any use or ask Grant at Awd he has brembo claipers fitted to his classic turbo.

johnnyr6 Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 Performance friction discs and pads are highly recommended apparently.

It will bolt straight on but whether your current wheels will fit over them is another question m8. What wheels are you using? You'll also need the newage sti disc and pads too. So the chanaces are you'll probably need spacers unless you have newage sti rims or 18inch after market rims as very few 17inch wheels fit over the brembo calipers.
Jamis Posted March 31, 2007 Author Posted March 31, 2007 Got 17" bk racing wheels on at the min looking at them i think i might be lucky as seem to have a fair bit o space from caliper and wheel.
fai17 Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 Best thing for you to do is try your wheel on a Newage STI and that will answer your question whether the rims fit over the brembos. Peter PS..there are plenty of STI owers that will help but i can't as i have AP brakes[]
Jamis Posted March 31, 2007 Author Posted March 31, 2007 Thanks fai 17 sure i could get someone to help.
