STi_Bandit Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 Need to buy a New Filter for the APS CAi, Now the orginal APS unit came with a K&N filter on it so ive measured it all up and found the suitable replacement filter from K&N is the RU-3130. My wee question is iam i best ordering a replacement k&n filter or strap on a green filter on the end just to be different. K&N - RU-3130 Flange Inside Diameter: 3.5 inHeight: 7 in (178 mm)Top Outside Diameter: 3.5 in Green Filters - 2024 Mounting Inside Diameter (in.) - 3.50Height (in.) - 6.50Outside Diameter (in.) BASE - 5.54Outside Diameter (in.)TOP - 4.00 The green filter is slightly shorter but wider at the base and top.for those who have the APS cai is the clearance b/w the filter and inner wing tighter at the base or top of the cone filter?Bandit
ally-b Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 K&N RU-3130 is the correct filter for the APS cold air kit . I had to buy one for mine as it came without . Why are you changing it ? - they can be cleaned and re-oiled . If it needs replaced then the 'green' may be worth considering as I rate their panel filters highly . Sorry I can't help with clearance Q as Greersport fitted mine. Al.
STi_Bandit Posted March 26, 2007 Author Posted March 26, 2007 Filter is in a bit of a mess i know they can be cleaned but i think rather replace it for a nice fresh one so iam getting the best induction possible Bandit
STi_Bandit Posted March 27, 2007 Author Posted March 27, 2007 No more ideas on this one, looks like i probally just get the K&N then Bandit
