marky.t.s Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 sorry to jump in here mate, was just wandering if Octane booster can be added to fuel in a standard UK Turbo 00/my,is it just required for imports?,would it be harmful to my engine?will i notice any difference in performance?.......btw,i use V-power also. It can be added for a UK car but perfomance won't be greatly improved unless it's been mapped to run OB. thanks Pedro[]

scoobaroo Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Ive been using tesco 99 with no probs whatsoever, and of course V-power. Marty.
philip_wilson Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 V PowerTescos 99 Ron BP Ultimate / Sainsbury's super unleaded (same stuff in Aberdeen) I've done 20k or so miles since buying this Scoob last April andhave used approx 100 tanks of petrol and tbh I've never noticed any differenceusing any off the above, the fuel consuption has always been the same 150 - 200 miles max to a tank with the fuel light on (depending on how much stick I give it), performance wise it's always felt the same (saying that I've driven Kloons car and going by the R/R day last year his car has about 25BHP less than mine and tbh both car feel much the same and that with 25bhp of a difference[:S]) In fact when I had my car on the rollers at Japerformancelast year I was using ASDA's 95 Ron [:$] and It still made 251 bhp [] so it'sreally down to your personal preference. BP'S new Ultimate 102 unleaded is on trial so you never know this may end up being the new V-POWER [] http://www.bp.com/genericsection.do?catego...ntentId=7017179
