johnnyr6 Posted November 30, 2003 Posted November 30, 2003 Hi tim i just picked up the new fast car mag and there is a good pic of your (old) scoob at crail with miss sti's in the other lane although you can just make hers out. Oh, before you start laughing at me i only bought it because it has the High octane 2 dvd on it (some good jap cars on it usually, strangely they seem to call a scooby a sooby!)
jacqui_robb Posted November 30, 2003 Posted November 30, 2003 just in and read this......now I'm going to have to go back out to get Fast Car ........................................................................

gardner Posted December 24, 2003 Posted December 24, 2003 hi tim hows things hows the the hunt for a new scoob
tim_wilkinson Posted December 30, 2003 Posted December 30, 2003 Mmmm - good question craig - have been given the option of a company car - which is good, and totally unexpected - but scoob isn't on the list - tastiest thing there is a Seat Leon Cupra R decisions decisions..........
johnnyr6 Posted December 30, 2003 Author Posted December 30, 2003 What decision? STI m8, only joking. Anyone heard from miss scoob sti lately? wonder if the list of goodies for her sti is getting bigger, c'mon jaq spill the beans what are we gonna have to do to catch that beast now?
tim_wilkinson Posted December 30, 2003 Posted December 30, 2003 I cairn - but the lcr has 225 brake now and brembo brakes etc - plus I'm thinking chip = 265ish brake, would be a very quick car Don't know if I can go back to sh1tty 2 wheel drive tho...........
johnnyr6 Posted December 31, 2003 Author Posted December 31, 2003 Nowt wrong wi 2wheel drive m8, i might have to go back to it myself as my wife is pregnant and i may need to invest in a new house although i would prefer rear wheel drive.
jacqui_robb Posted January 3, 2004 Posted January 3, 2004 what's happening to every1? ... Tim - a Seat - nnnnooooooooo, dont do it! Craig - getting his fast metro or ka cos the scooby's dead JohnnyR6 - talking about going back to 2-wheel drive motors
tim_wilkinson Posted January 3, 2004 Posted January 3, 2004 I know I know Jaq - but if its not on the list -I can't get it, end of story - and a scoob ain't on the list
tim_wilkinson Posted January 26, 2004 Posted January 26, 2004 good news people - its looking like I CAN get an impreza thru work!! how happy am I????
jacqui_robb Posted January 30, 2004 Posted January 30, 2004 - that fab! so what r u getting. is it a classic or r u crossing over to the dark side of the bugeyes?!!!! now if it's a company car u'll have to look after it and no thrashing it or racing it then lol! Seriously though, thats great. how long til u get ur licence back then? was trying to post a pic of the WR1 and ask if this is what ur looking at , but cant post it here << how happy am i? >> bet ur still not as happy as me today though.......! clicky
johnnyr6 Posted January 30, 2004 Author Posted January 30, 2004 congrats miss scooby, looks like i'm keeping mine, gonna extend my own house rather than buy a new one so i will be able to keep the scoob. Just got to fit my goodies now ( no performance parts yet, just goodies to keep an eye on it). Tim thats good news mate keep us informed.
tim_wilkinson Posted January 31, 2004 Posted January 31, 2004 you'll all be sick as parrots - I'm pushing for an STI8 with PPP, just waiting for it get signed off (will cost a fortune in co car tax, but hey thats just a detail), its really touch and go whether I can get it or not. My boss asked me what the £2k optional extra was (ppp) managed to persuade her that it was a necessary safety package, which is sort of is as it will allow me to overtake much more safely License back in 8 weeks.....!!!!... yyyeeesssssss, at last - its killing me congrats on the house - can't beat having your own place - just had my place done by an interior designer with all the money saved from not running a car, its a right sh........ pad now!!
johnnyr6 Posted January 31, 2004 Author Posted January 31, 2004 That's good news, hope you get your sti m8
tim_wilkinson Posted February 25, 2004 Posted February 25, 2004 Hi there guys and gals 2 x bad news and 1 x good news - the company car plan fell through.......... insurance on a scoob is a total no go with a recent ban (not quite true but I refuse to pay in the region of £2k) and the good news I've just ordered this - which will certainly do for now!! Tim
billyboy Posted February 25, 2004 Posted February 25, 2004 hope you got a free box of head gaskets for that crap rover engine.its nice mate very nice.was out in one at knockhill last year, fantastic.not very good if your on the plump side though!
jacqui_robb Posted February 25, 2004 Posted February 25, 2004 WTF? R u a hairdresser now then! Got a hairy chest and a gold chain to go with that! Only kidding m8! Congratulations. Totally different from ur scooby, but will prob take off and go like sh#t off a shovel! I'll be avoiding you at crail next time! Cant be long til u get ur licence back now? So, when's ur new baby arriving then?
tim_wilkinson Posted February 25, 2004 Posted February 25, 2004 hey - I'll have u know I wax my chest on a regular basis!!!!! Seriously - get license back at end of March - car ready start of march won't be enjoying that wait as I'm away to the states with work at the end of March so there is a chance I won't be able to pick it up till I get back (prob mid April)!! and ur right, it does go like stink, well up to 100-110 anyway, quicker than my scoob anyway. I've gone for the VVC engine which has got a fair chunk of power over the basic model. Don't think I'll be at crail much with it, its not really a straight line machine, the handling is streets ahead of my understeery UK turbo (appreciate ur type r will be heaps better handling than mine was). Will defo be down a few times for a look out. Am looking at doing a lot more track days 2 at knockhill planned already, I'm also away to hockenheim & Cadwell park this year. << hope you got a free box of head gaskets for that crap rover engine.its nice mate very nice.was out in one at knockhill last year, fantastic.not very good if your on the plump side though! >> thought about this but I've got pals that have them with 30k+ hard miles on with no problem (they are both VVC too) - oh, and I'm on the atkins to combat the latter comment!!
johnnyr6 Posted February 27, 2004 Author Posted February 27, 2004 Hi tim, that's a nice car m8, bet it feels totally different from the scoob, i wouldn't have thought it would be cheaper to insure, just goes to show. If i don't see you at crail maybe i'll see you at knockhill as i'm planning a few trackdays myself once i fit a knocklink and afr guage (sitting waiting to be fitted). I take it you'll be at the hot marque nights then. The elise should be ideal for the hill aswell.
