Is it a sin...?

Ok,you all no by now that i bought a bog standard 1.6i
 wagon on eBay(£415.05p!)

I need to change her colour coz i hate it[+o(] and i don't have oodles of spare dough(who has!?)

When i lived in spain i rag rolled my transit matt black(my heavy metal years!) and my scooter([;)]) and my mates range rover,i was thinking of doing the same to my scooby!

Do you think this a disasterous move or should i save my pennies and wait?

The beauty of rag rolling Her black is that any new body kits i get will be a piece of p*ss to colour match!

Somebody said that a full re-spray will come to the best part of £2.500,but that is show standard. If rag roll her it'll cost about £50!

So,is it a sin to rag roll a Scooby??????????????

Sorry what exactly is rag roll [:^)]

It's not quite rag rolling, you know the small rollers used for glossing etc,it's that!

Nothing technical involved, just a skinhead(maturish)a pot of paint and a gloss roller!(and a bit of sanding first)

That's sounds worse than it is!

Start off with a light rub down, mask everything up,paint it!

That doesn't sound any better, does it? PMSL[;)

Hmmm,i already know it's not the greatest idea.

That was said when we did the range rover in Spain,it was a one off build for an arab prince/shiek(serious)the VIN plate had his name on it(as well as the VIN) and another plate from range rover  saying it was a one off specially made for this very rich bloke.

Anyway my mate got to own the range(don't ask!) and hated it's electric blue paintjob,so we drove it to an underground garage we used,4 of us jumped out armed with sandpaper and started rubbing it down, much to the bemusment of a fella hoovering out his car!

After 10 mins of rubbing down the 4 of us started painting it,the fella hoovering was now a little bit scared!

40 mins later,done!

We drove to the beach(with the paint still sticky)and ragged the b*tch up and down it for 10 mins, getting a nice spray of sand on her, then off to the bar to show everyone, man they nearly died!

Looked good though, really good for a bunch of thugs(i'm retired!)and it took about an hour and a half, start to finish![<;))]

OMG. Most definitely yes, it is a sin! Don't do it. However, do you have a picture of the range rover as i'm curious to see what the sand and sea salt finish looked like?

how about you put some pics of the motor so we can see wot it looks like now,

i agree that a nice set of grapics make a car look alot different and take the eyes away from the colour you dont like?

Does it have the silly grille on the front? and standard bumper with the little spot lights? if it does get a proper subaru grille and a decent wrx bumper and that will make her look a whole lot different... Cant believe you only paid £400 for it, wot a bargain.

Ok,i won't do it!

It's not that bad i suppose, would look a world away with a new front and maybe new wheel paint.

I've been looking for a new front, but got in a mess coz there are so many bits!

Bumpers,fronts,spoilers,lips,splits,spats etc etc,all i want is the front![:@]

Thanks for your advice/p*ss taking[;)]

As for a photo of the range,i've text my m8 to see if he has any[O]
