Where's the best place to get a 40,000 mile service near West Lothian and how much should I expect to pay.

If your wanting to stick with Subara Service History I'd go for Ian Grieve in Falkirk. If not go to Extreme motorsport (Swifts) in Whitburn or Hypertec in Bonnybridge, Falkirk.

Welcome mate . I would like to recommend AWD in Perth they have done alot of work to my car an i have to say what they don't know about Scoobs ain't worth knowing.

Swift is about 5 minutes away or if the Whitburn road is clear 1:30 ;-)

I think I might try Grieves to keep the service history.

Any idea the cost of a 40k service?

Not very sure on the 40k service but if you get SIDC membership you get a 10% discount.

if you PM scoobyseller555 (Gav) he might be able to tell you as Gav is a Salesman @ Grieves.
