jae Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 I have seen and have a few issues myself with deposits on sensors causing issues with the old bus my99 Turbo, and was wondering, remember the days when with our carb-ed machines we would pour carb cleaner in the air inlet and it would clean it through, can this be done safely with scoobies? Apologies if this seems a stoopid question [^o)]
chris_c201 Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 I'm sure someone more technical will answer soon but my view is..... No... i woudl say if a sensor needs cleaned i would remove it, maybe use carb cleaner on it alone, make sure it is fully evaporated and dry before replacing.... As i say, i'm sure someone will be able to give a more concise answer soon!
