scooby princess Posted March 28, 2007 Author Posted March 28, 2007 Quote Hang in there mate but don't over do it going to work feeling rough[] Hopefully he will see this and take note of what you have said barry as he has been told this by me, the nurses etc and still he doesnt slow down
badboy baza Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 Trouble is when your fighting something that's not fair you need all your strength. take it from someone who has help Ann trough her ordeal you need to be strong in mind and health mate. Listen to the experts please.[]
edmondo Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 Thanks Barry - just hate being inactive - not natural
scooby princess Posted March 30, 2007 Author Posted March 30, 2007 I know love, but for my peace of mind as well as your health PLEASE slow down! even if it means you just sit down and relax for the rest of the day when you come home - EVERYONE is fighting it with you by staying strong but YOU have to pace yourself otherwise you will mental and physically drain yourself. Rant over sweety - []
kevlorn Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 ed will know when he needs to slow down, my mate worked through all of his treatment without a day off,,kept his mind off of the treatment i think.everyone deals with it it in there own way i suppose,, if you feel up to working i'd say carry on, it's better than moping around the house..

Thats how I feel - I am lucky to be in the position where I can work as and when without being penalised - maybe further down the line then I will need to have more time off but until then I will carry on as much as poss
scooby princess Posted April 2, 2007 Author Posted April 2, 2007 yes but on some days you are STILL putting your work BEFORE your health![:@] You know what i mean
edmondo Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 next one Tuesday - so gonna be off all week from work - seems to be working - massive difference to what I was a month ago - just cant wait for it to be over - Gotta go to Oxford and have a "Hickman Line" ( I think ) put in my arm as the veins have been weakened by the Chemo - apparantly this is a common side effect............................It will be just like having a Tap on my arm so I am told.
kevlorn Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 yep it is mate.my mate had the same, makes it easier ti get the drugs into you.you can also get an adapter to connect to lager cans. glad your feeling good though, do you have to have radiation after the chemo......

I have suggest the Lager Can idea - no sense of humour some people[] As for Radiation - I beleive the Drugs that go into me are Irradiated hence hair loss etc
kevlorn Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 my mate lost his hair, funny really, he came over to our's for a beer(although he said it tasted s**t) and he rubbed his brow and his eye brow came off, we were all in histerics with laughter, he looked ok as he had a shaven head.. he also had radiation treatment on his kneck and airpits after the chemo had finnshed.but every case is differrent..
edmondo Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 poor bloke - that was funny though...............................Hopefully the Chemo will clear it completely but if not then light me up like Chernobyl lol
kevlorn Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 you got to have a laugh really, it is horrible but you only get depressed thinking about it, we were joking all the way through his treatment, same as you really,, does the lager taste metalicy to you.
