Scooby Hoo? Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 Thanks to all of you for the welcome, nice to know you are out there. Have just fitted some new mudflaps to the Zimmer frame, could be vinyls next. This should cut my time down getting to the bar by half. On a more serious note, what happens at the rolling road days ? Have never been before. Ten minutes per car doesn't seem long, so help please.
Baz69birds Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 Hello & welcome as for a ROLLING ROAD, 10 mins is long enough. warm your car up before it goes on there, & it only takes 3 mins of reving to get a score, takes 6 mins to srap it down, & un strap it. they are very good days. Please note if they blow your car up. its YOUR FAULT. hense warm car up 1st properly. Baz
darryl_martin Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 On the subject of blowing your car up go to a well known and trusted rolling road. First one I went to I ended up with what I thought was smoke coming from the engine, I wasn't the only one!!! The room emptied and the guy was still flooring it. I was trying to get his attention lol. Turns out they'd put the extraction tube/fan on the exhaust but hadn't turned it on[:@]. Car was fine. Second one I went to they seemed to know what they were doing, car wasn't thrashed to within an inch of it's life and wasn't held at god knows how many revs for nearly as long. Thumbs up for power engineering[H]
Scooby Hoo? Posted February 19, 2007 Author Posted February 19, 2007 How about the crew running the Essex meet?
Baz69birds Posted February 20, 2007 Posted February 20, 2007 the rolling road at WHITHAM is top class. thats where i went, had cold engine & it blew. But if it had been warm like every1 elses it would of survived.

Pele Posted February 20, 2007 Posted February 20, 2007 I will be organising a Power Engineering one for middle of June, gives everyone a few months to get their cars sorted out....
ROAR Posted February 20, 2007 Posted February 20, 2007 hello scooby hoo what are you driving as i work in west kingsdown and may have seen you about Rich
Scooby Hoo? Posted February 20, 2007 Author Posted February 20, 2007 Hi Rich, My Zimmer frame is a 2002 WRX in micro blue with 17" Prodrive golds & Prodrive spoiler. I've had it from new and after six months had it PPP. Since then the headlights have been converted - fogs replaced with drivelights, great for driving over the Borders A68 to Edinburgh and then mudflaps last week. I was impressed with the graphics on some of the cars at the Wharf on friday so watch this space, but I will need advise first. Pele I would love to come to Power Eng but am away 9th to 23ish. I do have to work some times, can't waste time all the time. O forgot SIDC graphics offside - nearside rear windows and square number plate on the front. Will watch out for you and everyone else.
ROAR Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 sounds nice i go playing in a silver 1998 classic sport with black graphics and an sti version 4 spoiler hope to see you about
