kaan_ors Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 In January I had a water meter fitted by thames water and whilst doing so they managed to cut through my cable coming into the house. Therefore I have been without TV, phone and most importantly INTERNET. After much complaining to a man in india NTL said that they can fix it but it won't be for four weeks!! After much more complaining and a large mobile bill they said sorry, but it will still be four weeks! So finally today I have been reconnected (four weeks later) and am finally back on line. (I would just like to point out that I am not impressed with NTL). Luckily I have been able to keep an eye on things via the internet at work but have not been able to log in as chat rooms are barred. However, I have seen that Trevor has got a new car with a peculiar name, sorry to hear about the old one just remember to check your tyre pressure on the new one :-), Granby is an insomniac (or has been on night shifts like me all this week), somebody wants advise on where to service their car (took mine to Walldonway to get the brakes checked and found them to be very helpful - speak to Bruce if you need anything) and that there are a few more scoobies in the bromley / orpington area. By the way I saw a silver classic about two weeks ago at Locksbottom but had gone past you by the time I realised you had waved, sorry about about that, I was probably thinking about the content of my complaint letter to NTL! I think that's everything but if I've missed something please let me know.
kaan_ors Posted February 9, 2007 Author Posted February 9, 2007 Just realised that was my sixty ninth post AND my favourite number!!

Pele Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 Just realised that was my sixty ninth post AND my favourite number!! I always thought men's favourite number was 34.5..... in their favour []
T123VOR Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 Welcome back mate! I always thought women prefered to finish themselves off? No wonder[] Trevor
Dalthegooner Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 Welcome back mate. I hope you've been non stop complaining to Thames Water and are getting some compo []
kaan_ors Posted February 10, 2007 Author Posted February 10, 2007 I'm not really into the whole compensation culture cos these things happen , however, I just got my mobile phone bill this morning and had to be revived by the wife!! [] I'm definately going to get somebody to pay for that though!!! By the way, the phones still not working so the next bill should be a treat as well.[:'(]
Dalthegooner Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 Thats exactly what I'm talking about mate. Mobile phone bill that you've had to run up because of them, home phone and internet bill that you have when you cannot use the service.
kaan_ors Posted February 10, 2007 Author Posted February 10, 2007 Yeah thats a good point. I'll have to ask for the costs to be refunded to my account for the month i've not been able to use any of the services.
yogi- Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 A month to get it all sorted, why do we put up with Sh!t service like that. Anyway good to see ya back and on the forum m8, i did wonder where you'd gone, thought you were just double busy or something, but to be mucked about just because some pillock stuck a spade through a cable, that is bad.
