jamie_wood Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 Remember that the cage bumps up the insurance premium. Makes it hard to get in and out the car. The dash has to be cut There is still welding on the car required to fabricate mounts on the floor and also plating is required on the rear arches to give the strength. You will loose the use of the rear seats due to the diagonal bar The cage will need powder coated or painted Go for it []

za - sti Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 I have the OMP cage in my car but its a competition car and would not recommend it for road use The dash requires to be cut and the construction of the dash means that it losses all strength so looks crap when cut.The cage also make things like having a rear view mirror difficult and it does reduce visibility to the rear. As stated it still requires welding and you cant use the back seats. No problem for me but i wouldnt want it in a road car cheers za
