[:@] just a wee update on my sons sti that died after only 160 miles ,engine stripped  req crank rods rebore oil pump oil modine ctc rebuild at over 2 grand so far the engine builder says it a mis match of parts  wrx pistons not sti//// v 3 heads that the valves have fouling the pistons ,weird cam buckets  req new fly wheel  its a dear game these subarus at least when its fixed this time it will be done right been advised ot limit it to 350-400 bhp and told to remove oil cooler  watch this space  geo and gav[]

160 miles is a bit of a kick in the teeth

Only needs an oil cooler if oil temp exceeds 115c on a hard thrash or prolonged track session

Hope it all comes good in the end
