frank c Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 Hi matey, Bumped into Johnny50 today. He wondered how you were getting on I've got a 99 uk classic(face lift) -decatted and remapped..so should be around the 280 bhp mark ( standard 215bhp) Frank
C J K Posted January 16, 2007 Author Posted January 16, 2007 Cheers Frank,is the oem ecu remappable on the 99 model ? J50 got me out the schecht a few years ago when my 94 wrx blew the top hose off the radiator ..he had a spare and was good enough to come out from Edinburgh with it to Livingston[H] top bloke. Colin
frank c Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 Hi Colin, I'm no engine guru lol, I got mine remmapped by http://www.andyforrestperformance.co.uk/index2.html. It's worth a read and should answer some of your questions mate. I went for the Ecutek ..and i'm lead to believe the OE ecu on the later models '99-'00 responds well to this. I'm sure someone more knowledgable will be along shortly to give you some useful advice HTH's Framk
the squiggle Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 I recommend you use strong laminate flooring with a durable laquer on top ps yes a 99 ecu will ECUTEK
