rasher Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 yes the springs are black but dont think the struts are from and S202, will nip outside and check

Bluebotle Posted January 11, 2007 Author Posted January 11, 2007 Thinking of buying them you see [] Mine are knocking again!!!!
Andy S Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 They look identical to my JDM STi shocks and springs
rasher Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 they look similar, only one pic had come out have you got anymore views of the strut?
Bluebotle Posted January 11, 2007 Author Posted January 11, 2007 The pics are their it just needs time to download them for some reason. Try looking at this link www.motorvids.co.uk/videos/ And viewing the S202 pics Cheers Lee
Bluebotle Posted January 12, 2007 Author Posted January 12, 2007 Not bought them yet. The £450 price tag is too much, i'm hoping to pay £250 for them.
rasher Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 they look ok, but what colour are normal STI struts???
Bluebotle Posted January 13, 2007 Author Posted January 13, 2007 They look the same as mine, red with black springs.
Andy S Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 they look ok, but what colour are normal STI struts??? my jdm sti ones look identical to that, they are just sat in the garage after putting the AST's on just checked an they are definatly red with black springs
Bluebotle Posted January 13, 2007 Author Posted January 13, 2007 Do you want to sell them? Do they knock?
Andy S Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 Do you want to sell them? Do they knock? Yes sorry they do knock, but I have a set of an MY03STi that i replaced them with that dont if you are interested? I have since replaced them with the full T25 handling kit[] So i can sell you them with the JDM springs if you want, (lower than UK springs). Cheers Andy
Bluebotle Posted January 16, 2007 Author Posted January 16, 2007 I put a silly offer in for the Struts and he accepted [] Before I actually pay for these, Rasher do you know if the suspension on the S202 is lower or stiffer than the STi? Cheers Lee
rasher Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 the struts were only part of the suspension set up specifically designed for the S202, so couldnt really tell if it is higher or lower, stiffer or softer than an STI because they are different set ups entirely mate, for different cars
Bluebotle Posted January 16, 2007 Author Posted January 16, 2007 I'm still considering whether to buy them or not to be honest. It's a major gamble with these things, finding some that don't knock is very hard as I have already found out. Then again its cheaper than the £1600 bill for new [:|] I've offered him £300 then I will have to fit which will cost me approx £170 from Subaru. I paid £150 for the ones I have on already and £168 for the installation (with Alignment). I'm half way now to buying new if I purchase these [:^)] So undecided, thanks for your help anyway Rasher it was good of you to check your car for me. I'll have to have a think about it over the next day. Cheers Lee
rasher Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 no probs Lee, let me know what yu decide mate[]
