peter_reid Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 Any alarm gurus out there My cars in the paint shop gettin a full re-spray [] and I have got a bit of a disaster. The wires going to the speaker has got cut (I have joined the wires up again)and now I have no ignition lights so the car aint goin anywhere, the key blip doesnt do anything either.[:'(] Im not sure of the alarm model but there is a sticker on the window "Protected by Clifford G4" Im hoping that there is an in line fuse that may have blown but knowin my luck. The paint job will be finished on thursday afternoon so all suggestions would be great. Cheers Pete
jamie_wood Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 Matey, Its a stab in the dark, but have you checked ALL the fuses? Engine bay(N/S), drivers side (just below fog lamp switch) and check up in behind the fuse box as there can often be additional in line fuse holders for aftermarket fit items such as the alarm. Get up in behind there with a flash light and check it out good and proper. Failing that, trace the wiring back through the bulk head and see where the alarm box is then check out the feeds to it. Pain in the ar5e, but unless you have the wiring diagram infront of you and/or an alarm specialist....you will just need to do the Sherlock Homes bit yourself[] Or call WUZmeister and get him to bring a power probe and a multi meter[]
peter_reid Posted December 20, 2006 Author Posted December 20, 2006 Cheers mate, I did have a wee look but couldnt see much and didnt want to get in the painters way. Going up on thursday so will arrive with a torch and pocket full of fuses, Tried the tinternet for wiring diagrams but cant seem to find any. Pete
