scooby princess Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 Yes you are reading this correctly! Even though the cost of this event has increased massively i have booked 2 dates for next year. Even though it is a small track it is still great fun (and im allowed to drive on it as well!). So i am now going to start lists for people who wish to attend the S.I.D.C Haynes Days:- Sorry but a maximum of 10 cars for each event so we can maximise the use of track per cost. I will no longer be doing trophies for this event as im trying to keep costs as low as possible but i will still be keeping times and you will get your results at the end of the day. I am at present also reviewing how to give you maximum time on the track and if there is a way of setting up time slots. The cost for this event is £40 and Payment is to be paid in advanced by cheques to "Haynes Motor Museum ltd". If you pay for this and either dont turn up or don't find someone to take your place then you will not recieve a refund - i am sorry but i have lost too much money in th past 2 years and so have to become much more stricter March 31st 2007:- Edmondo October 27th 2007:- The Museum will be open for special Spooky Tours due to Halloween on this day Edmondo
rae_sti Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 cant commit to any yet because trying to get car up together but if you cant fill jaqs im sure sw-pc will help out .
edmondo Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 Cheers Rae - they saved the Bacon the last time out
scoobydazza362 Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 i don't think the car will be run in properly for the 1st one and i think the 2nd one clashes with the final day of the season at Long Marston . . . . . i'll talk to my mapper about the march one though 50/50 at present. i'll know more about the october one when they put the dates up on the website. just an idea though , how about charging a bit extra and having trophies, not sure how much the trophies cost but i, and i bet others, wouldn't mind paying an extra few quid . worth asking .
edmondo Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 Daz Jacqui says 10 people £45ish then trophies would be viable but we need guaranteed 10 people before we go.
scoobydazza362 Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 are the trophies really 50 quid ? is that 2 or 4 ? if it's 4 then just do 2 , mind you, i don't mind paying £45 , i thought it would be dearer than that TBH 1 for fastest overall scooby and the other for fastest overall non scooby IF we get all 10 scoobs then do the other for fastest lap gives us something to ''go for'' innit
scooby princess Posted December 12, 2006 Author Posted December 12, 2006 trying to keep the costs down dazza - that is for 4!
scoobydazza362 Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 so its 25 quid for 2 thats an extra £2.50 each i'm sure folks who part with 40 quid dont mind paying an extra £2.50 i have been asked by alot of folks to organise a day here and could easily get 10 cars . i told them 50 quid each + trophies, they didn't mind so if you are short of numbers then let me know i won't make either of them 2 dates but i can still get others to go if needed
scooby princess Posted December 12, 2006 Author Posted December 12, 2006 thats a shame dazza as it was great with you there giving ed lessons - please feel free to pass details to anyone you know who wishes to attend as it will be first come first booked!
scooby princess Posted December 14, 2006 Author Posted December 14, 2006 Right we may need to cancal these as not only have they charged X amount more but the terms and conditions have changed and some of the things are now making it not worth us attanding! These are 2 of the new terms and conditions but there is 4 pages of it! Hire terms and conditions:- 3.2 - The circuit will only be used in an anti clockwise direction unless the client is directed differently by the duty manager on the day 5.2 - Helmets must be worn for any circuit activity 7.1 - any form of competition is completely forbidden. No timing is permitted anyone fancy paying £40 just to keep going around in a circle?
