scoobykev Posted November 25, 2006 Posted November 25, 2006 I finally got my suspension fitted and was going to book it into Fiskens to get the geometry set up My car is a UK98 and i've now fitted struts from an sti6 type r v-limited. I was going to get the prodrive settings put in. The subaru dealer is saying I need the settings from the sti6 to get my geometry done and they can't/won't put the uk settings on the car as it no longer has a uk suspension and they can't/won't put prodrive settings on as each prodrive kit you buy comes with the settings in the box(apparently they're all different[8-)]). This sounds to me like a load of bullsh*t, however he did say that if i get the settings they can do it and it will be spot on, i would f*cking well hope so as they want to charge between £150 and £200. Considering the struts are a straight swap i cannot see what the differences would be apart from having lowered the car. Is it just the front wheels that can be adjusted during a set up? Any ideas or am i wrong and does anyone have the settings for these struts? thanks kev
st3ph3n Posted November 25, 2006 Posted November 25, 2006 Take it to Falkland in Glenrothes. http://www.falkland.co.uk/ Probably nearest place to you that gets a good write up.
wrxmania Posted November 25, 2006 Posted November 25, 2006 Find somewhere else Kev - they're at it. You can set the suspension to any set-up you like - although obviously you want the best. £150 - £200 for a geometry set-up is madness unless it is a WRC car! Brian []
scoobykev Posted November 25, 2006 Author Posted November 25, 2006 I'll give Falkland a call, used to deal with them when i had the cossie. Not quite a wrc car Brian, although the bairn has his pals at school convinced it is[]
craig mac Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 Kev Fakland did mine m8 and were only about 50 notes IIRC
scientific steve Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 same here, i used them and it's a nice drive back to aberdeen from there via glen shee that is []
scoobykev Posted December 2, 2006 Author Posted December 2, 2006 Had the car in at Falkland today, they sorted it out no problem, and it only cost £63. Car feels fantastic now
