eurosti Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 I drive normally on the roads and the autobahns. On the bahn its nice to take it easy im used to it being here so long, but when some sausage muncher is clinging onto ya rear bumper its nice to drop her down a couple of cogs and demonstrate the power of a Scoob. Well who wouldnt? I dont mess with Audi RS models or certain 911 models boxsters game on and they loose why buy a boxster when you can hav a Scoob?[]
wrxmania Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 Generally sensibly, always loudly and sometimes with some degree of reckless abandon [] Then I remember I don't have ABS, Airbags, or a body made out of metal thicker than 1mm []
craigwrx Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 How do i drive my car Like i feckin own it Like i know whats going on under the bonnet Like Cheech Marin in the famous movie "Up in smoke" Like Miss Marple if the traffics are up my ass and i am "riding dirty" Like i pay for the tyres and the maintainance How do i drive the works van Like Colin McRae through Kielder in 1995 Like i stole it Like i dont pay for the repairs and maintainance Like i get paid to drive 350 miles a day through the border like a whippet on crack That pretty much sums it up for me too ....unless i come across a good reason and i am on my own ....or of course unless i happen to be on a "spirited run"
scooby222 Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 at a pace im happy with and according to the conditions and always in accordance with the speed limits of some country some where. usually fairly spirited, thats why i bought an impreza, but with consideration for all other road users and the things i cant see with my xray vision turned off. wasnt always that way but walking away from one big smash was a BIG wake up call
marky.t.s Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 I start off gently warm her up a bit,a little tickle here and there, faster, faster, harder, harder, faster, harder,YEEEEEEEESSSSS,YEEEEEESSSS,YEEEEEESSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!
fai17 Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 i beast my car like i do my bird lol....keep it going all night!!
colin_ross Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 I don't drive anywhere near as agressively as I used too but I probably get there faster. When I had my 1.3 Escort it was ten tenths even when popping out to the shops. It was a giggle at the time but when I see it now I cringe. 99% of my driving is done in the Focus just now and I drive it like my 2 and 4 year olds are in the back. The 1% of driving that gets done in the Suabru I drive it like a guy who's not used to driving a fast car. New years resolution..... more seat time.
RA Dunk Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 i beast my car like i do my bird lol nice one []
z1000 Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 Missus drives it all week so i only get near it at the weekend by which time it needs the cobwebs cleared but i do find that driving now i still drive hard but only when i'm sure it's safe as who cares if you have to slow down for a corner or a blind sumit, there's plenty of good bits of road to make up for it and you can't enjoy much if you bin it. I also find that after a trackday i don't really feel the need to go fast for a while. At least until the main road anyway []
Gumball Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 I drive my Black VW Passat newage lol as if i was a man who was released on bail that same morning and told he had 24 hours to live. then i go home and touch my woodwork
Andy UK300 Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 living in the centre of edinburgh, 90% of my fun comes from 1st and 2nd gear. unless ur braking speedlimits, which i would never do. cept perhaps the cough western aproach cough
