Gareth135R Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 Hi, just wondered what sort of power the following cars were running. These that I had a few laps with on Sat. Scooby http://www.cyber-labs.co.uk/photos/knockhi...es/IMG_6268.htm Evo http://www.cyber-labs.co.uk/photos/knockhi...es/IMG_6305.htm Black scooby http://www.cyber-labs.co.uk/photos/knockhi...es/IMG_6450.htm
st3ph3n Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 Gareth, the black one is mine. It's a MY05 WRX with a couple of mods. Performance wise it still has the up and down pipe cats in place, but from there back I have the 3rd cat deleted, an unresonated centre and an H+S Backbox. Power wise it is 207 at the wheels, 248 at the engine, and 232lb/ft of torque - http://www.st3ph3n.com/images/dyno1.jpg Did it go alright you think? It's lacking a bit of poke compared to the big power STIs, but it handles nicely on the track after a fairly cheap set of suspension upgrades. It was suffering on the brakes on Saturday too. Lot of judder after about 4 or 5 laps out which I thought was a warped disc. I've also completley killed one of the rear pads, but they've done 35K with 6 or 7 trackdays! New front discs and pads and new rear pads getting done on tuesday thanfully. What car were you in?
scientific steve Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 gareth i'm the one with the white scooby [] it's a MY98 type R been tweeked by Andy F. aint had it on the rollers yet but it should be sitting at the 315 - 325 ish mark i'll be taking it on the rollers at some point but aint too bothered to tell you the truth, i know it's fast and thats what makes me smile [][][] cheers steve
Iaing Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 Gareth now drives a bright orange Exige, you cant miss it. 135R was his old Elise. Iain
RS Grant Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 I remember doing a few laps with that Exige... Awesome looking car and I'm sure that had it been dry it would have been one of the quickest cars out there. Cheers, Grant
Gareth135R Posted November 16, 2006 Author Posted November 16, 2006 Yup, I was in the Orange Exige but was one of the only Elise/Exige that was happy with the conditions. I had T1Rs on for the winter instead of the usual Yoko 48s. They were fantastic in the wet. Looking forward to dry days with the 48s though. The silver Evo was driven well and had way too much power for me on the straights. The burgandy scooby kept good pace but he was kind enough to let me past and I managed to get a little distance between us. White Scooby; just interested what it was running. Met you in ASDA carpark but didn't get chance for a chat at KH. To the next KH in 2007

[][] Seriously though it was on Dastek recently with 359.3bhp ATF. Hopefully get it to somewhere near 400 for next season. [] I'll be up at Wallace on Sunday so will see what that gives. [H] I was on A048's and was sliding a bit on the exits as you would expect. Good fun though. [H]
