scooby-girl Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 Hi I'm thinking about changing my standard rear silencer on my 02 Sti pro-drive for a Ninja 2, as I don't know anything about exhausts, I'm wanting to know if in due course will I have to change the rest of the pipe work to Ninja also? Many thanks Jen[]
mctwistuk Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 hi there. I have the scoobyworld ninja backbox and silenced centre section as well. I also have the afterburner decat pipe from scoobyworld. they are all interchangeable. I am thinking about changing the centre section if you were interested. It has only done a couple of thousand miles.
URABUS79 Posted November 4, 2006 Posted November 4, 2006 Hi Jen, i have just fitted a Ninja1 to my 97 wagon two days ago, perfect fit to standard centre section, 15 mins and it was fitted. Sounds superb at the moment [], but to be fair, it's only been on there for a few days so the novelty of the growl is still there and hopefully won't lower house prices in my street! I'd recommend one, but i have nothing to compare it to other than the standard rear box. Cheers, B
STi_Bandit Posted November 4, 2006 Posted November 4, 2006 Whats the main difference between the old ninja and the new ninja 2 Bandit
stripe Posted November 4, 2006 Posted November 4, 2006 I just fitted the Ninja 2 on my MY99....WOW! Not only does it look much better, it's got a really nice deep burble, with a fantastic howl when you floor it, and I managed to get it for £175, total bargain!
URABUS79 Posted November 4, 2006 Posted November 4, 2006 @ Bandit, i think the new ninja2 has a removable baffle which you can 'insert' to quieten the box down a bit. I don't know if this baffle is interchangeable with the ninja1 though. Cheers. B
stripe Posted November 4, 2006 Posted November 4, 2006 Ninja 1 does not come with a baffle so wont be interchangeable. It is basically a re-designed exhaust, not really similar in looks or sound to the first Ninja, I think the 2 looks and sounds a lot better, although the ninja 1 is still a great exhaust aswell!
