craig79 Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 Hullo Abody, Does anyone know of a legal depth requirement when it comes to putting sunstrips on your windscreen. Noticing with the car that due to the high w/s the sun blinds you all day pretty much. Was just thinking about an all black strip similar to whats on the back, but deeper [8-)]??? Thanks, Craig.
twofourdonkey Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 I think the law is somthing like a maximum of 10mm? inside the swept area. As the standard wiper blades go almost to the top of the screen, there is no point fitting one. Unless you fit a shorter blade of course.
craig79 Posted November 1, 2006 Author Posted November 1, 2006 You're joking[] If that's the case suppose I can forget about it[]
scoobymadburd Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 just fit shorter blades we got a tinted sunstrip put on when we got the windows done!! never had any problems with it.
craig79 Posted November 1, 2006 Author Posted November 1, 2006 God, nothings simple eh ???!!! Least there's a way round it. Thanks for the info. Nice wee dog you've got. Had an english bulldog a few years ago - jock. Slavers drove me daft tho'[]
scoobymadburd Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 I dont have that dog it was my friends picture of her pup lol My other half wont permit me to have a pup lol Thanks anyway Claire
z1000 Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 Got one cheap from ebay put it on and it drove me nuts. Between the wipers rubbing on it and not being able to see traffic lights without sliding down the seat it was a pain in the arse so in the bin it went.
