seafar99 Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 http://www.sidc.co.uk/faq.htm#2.1.1 This will give you all the info on JDM Wagon production with engine codes and BHP.As far i know only the RA's which were never made in wagon form had the light weight panels.
jodie typeRA Posted October 29, 2006 Author Posted October 29, 2006 cheers mate. its the light weight pannels the red RA seats and the awd2000 sticker what was making me think it might be a uk model saying that there nothing saying the panels and seats where not put in it. b4 it came to the uk ive told him it will be a sti iff it has the plack on the top sock iff not it will be a wrx....im i right in saying this? and to have a look at the v5 and that will tell him iff it is a import. cheers jodie
seafar99 Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 Going by the confusing information that your giving us Jodie, this sounds very dodgy,it doesn't mean that the car hasn't had some interior change at some time but unlikely someone would have put light weight panels onto a wagon. Probably best check engine code and chassis plates. If it had come in from europe the steering wheel would be on the left-hand side, and unless it's been modified it would not produce 270bhp.I've got an import sti-wagon that doesn't have a plaque at the stut to state that it's a sti, the engine plate shows this by the letter'E' and that the manifold is RED.( Don't think the early sti'wagon had the red manifold till later) hope some of this helps but i'd be very wary.
euan_r Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 early uk cars came with lightweight bonnet and boot. Best check all the codes and v5.
jodie typeRA Posted October 30, 2006 Author Posted October 30, 2006 hes not getting it now seen an other wagon for sale in falkirk cheers for the pointers guys
