graham_nairn Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 I bought a front strut brace a couple of weeks back but not had the time to fit it yet. I know its only a 5 min job. But just wondered should it be fitted while the car is on the ground as normal or with some of the weight taken of the front. Obviously not jacked up completely otherwise the struts will fall out. Cheers G
GaryD Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 Any strut braces Ive fitted to cars in the past, ive always had the car on the ground,. I dont think you need to jack it up. If the brace is a good fit it will mount on to existing points on the turrets, jacking the car up wont make the turrents any closer or further apart.
graham_nairn Posted October 17, 2006 Author Posted October 17, 2006 Cheers guys Will hopefully get a chance this weekend to fit it.
