M8JOF1
Fitting my new front strut brace today when I got alittle carried away while tightening one of the bolts up,sheared the bleedin thing off didnt I. Anyone happen to have a front passenger side shocker/strut for a classic uk turbo as its a full suspension out mistake. Such a clown acting like the hulk. Thanks. Link to comment
FastScooby
there is an easy cure for this as i have done it... get a punch and a hammer and hit the bolt thats broken... then nip of to the ironmongers and get a bolt and nut then, with a bit of contorsion in the wrist insert the bolt from within the spring( might be easier to jack the car up)... 20p to fix Link to comment
FastScooby
then again... might be better to goto the ironmongers first [][] Link to comment
M8JOF1
You see thats why I come on this forum, there is guaranteed to be another hulk around who has gone a bit too far and heard the dreaded snap of overtightening. Thanks alot mate I will try that. Thats handy. Link to comment
uk_Mo
you could also drill through it first then hit it with a punch if it doesnt budge first time round m8 Mo Link to comment
