craig mac Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 Folks Just to tidy up a little on some "Vivid" imagintions, and also a warning to others for the future. The wee issue i had yesterday while at Andy's and am sure Andy will will confirm 100% when he gets a chance. The issue with the AVC-R Was not wiring, It was in fact a Duff sensor in the actual head unit. This was diagnosed with the use of a second head unit Andy had at his workshop. The unit (my one) was registering all, but throttle position, which is required for the in gear boost set up. Andy used a unit he had there, and the throttle position registered fine, however his unit also had a duff sensor in another area. So please be very aware when buying from Ebay and other sources, These units have been prone to issue, again something that Andy discussed with me yesterday, and again am sure he will gladly confirm. As always, Wuz is 100% money back warranty, Russell even offered to cover my travelling costs etc for yesterday for the inconvinance etc, Which i declined. There was, and never is "Tuff Sheet" attitude from Russell, A lot more than can be said about others. This head unit will be replaced to me FOC from Russell as soon as possible, and off to see Andy we go again[] So lessons learned and be careful when buying these units. CraiG

st3ph3n Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 It's very hard to refer to one of you individually when you've both got the same name. Whatever happened to Apex'i having gone bust that was talked about earlier in the year or maybe last year? Hope you get it sorted sound though Mr Mac. The AVC-R is a nice bit of kit.
WUZ Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 Craig - left a message and an email with my supplier and he should have an answer for me in the morning. I am sure "someone else" will be on here soon offering you one at a better price and "expertly installed" as well[] Russell PS - THIS AVC-R WAS NOT PURCHASED FROM EBAY. IT WAS SOURCED FROM MY REGULAR APEXI SUPPLIER AND IS NOT FROM MALAYSIA!!!!!!!!
