graeme_stuart Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 Second time i have had a new tyres this year (different scoobs though). Island Exhaust Systems on south key have been Exellent. (Had tyres on my old old scoob also.) They have to order them and usually you get them in 2 working days. Just saved myself aprox £60 this time, and that is on 2 tyres (Bridgestone potenza's.)[] Thats my opinion anyway.[] Also Blackcircle.com will deliver a set of 4 tyres of choice for aprox £35 shipping. Anyone else know any better on the rock?.
Dave K Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 I found All round tyres to be very good http://www.isleofman.com/organisations/all_round_tyres/ when sorting my goodyear 18's, which can be a problem on the island. He also takes a lot of care fitting the tyre to the alloy, equalled the price of UK so was a good deal.[]
Nick555 Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 Are there any island tyre fitters that use that machine that takes off the tyre & fits a new one without ever touching the wheel rim?
graeme_stuart Posted October 6, 2006 Author Posted October 6, 2006 Not sure Nick. Ive only seen the usuall ones over here. I had to get a new wheel on my first scoob after a tyre change. The rim had been bent, but could not prove it was the garage that had done it, so had to get a new on I was sure they had squashed it in the machine.

All round tyres use one for all their tyre fittings, thats if its the machine your on about. We have used all round tyres religiously for a while now, even got wr1 grahams tyre done by call out with them when he was over for the rally. Nix[]
John st1 Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 I get my tyres from work.. not saying that they are the best it just that I get 25% off

graeme_stuart Posted October 11, 2006 Author Posted October 11, 2006 Hi Nix [] I thought everyone had gone from here. Hope you had a good trip. Say hello to John for me and tell him to stop wheel spinning on his works entrance, it makes a lot of dust over peel []. And say hi to your daughter (can't remember how to spell her name) [:$].Forgive me. Must all meet up soon. Its nearly Christmas. Don't know if anything is planned for bonfire night this year, it seems to have all come to a standstill again. See ya soon. Graeme, Helen and James. [] []
