The Guru Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 I Am looking for a carpenter or someone who works for a double glazing company to fix a problem with my front door. Any help appreciated! Arron.
tony_cousins Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 Whats the problem Arron?? I may be able to help []
The Guru Posted October 4, 2006 Author Posted October 4, 2006 Tony, the previous owners had Bamboo wooden floor fitted throughout the downstairs and where it meets the front door there is a gap between the bottom of the door and the thresh hold. It is something I have been meaning to get done all summer but you know how it is. So I prob need to have a new door step put in to take up the gap. Thanks. Arron.
tony_cousins Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 Aaahhhh i see Quite a simple job then, hardwood plinth cut and shaped to fit then bonded it with a 5 mm gap towards the door to allow for expansion [] Obviously depending on the size of the gap []
