Standard Airbox

Just tried to fit the standard airbox onto MY99 UK Classic, and it went badly wrong. When I got my current Blitz induction kit off, I tried to put the top cover of the standard box on, low and behold thanks to the Clifford alarm box being fitted where it is, it wont fit!!!

But the thing I don't understand is the black piece of piping that has the MAF attached is too big to connect onto the standard airbox, the holes match up length wise, but the pipe is too wide to fit onto the airbox? So I then tried to fit the new Apexi induction kit on (Which I know is a lot safer than the Blitz one) and once again the pipe wont fit onto the cone filter for the Apexi either! WTF is going on with the MAF pipe?

I have managed to fit the Blitz kit back on, and seems solid enough, no movement at all so should not vibrate the MAF sensor. Can someone post up a picture of a UK MY99 engine bay with the Standard Airbox on so I can have a look, I am really concerned now[]
