frank c Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 Well Alan ..where do i start. First of all i'd like to thank you for your hospitality . Your a real genuine guy with the patience of a saint for answering all my questions and queries. To take so much time to explain things to me and help me out is a true testiment to your character. THANK YOU.. Now for the UK 500-ish lol ...FECK ME!! .. All the way home i've been thinking of a word to explain the feeling of the AWESOME power this car has ..WORDS FAIL ME.. Your car certainly reflects your personality. The attention to detail , engineering , thought and time that has gone into this car is a credit to yourself . Enjoy it for what it is mate..and LEAVE IT ALONE ) PS; how bad are my lights lol Thanks Again Cheers Frank..
AlanG Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 Hi Frank Was good to meet up. Hope i made the long journey through worthwhile. This is as far as i'm taking this engine now. Most bits are close to or at their maximum, so is a good reason not to spend more money chasing something i can't really use to great effect on the road anymore. It's really moved on in performance terms in the last couple of weeks after Andy put his skills into my map, but i'd like to try a different engine next time. 2.5 has been fun but, with present knowledge i don't think i'm far from its' limits, so i'd like to try the tried and tested CDB route if i had the funds. "how bad are my lights lol " The standard lights are really poor aren't they for a performance car! Now you know why i bought HID's !! lol []
colin_ross Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 Your a real genuine guy with the patience of a saint for answering all my questions and queries. To take so much time to explain things to me and help me out is a true testiment to your character. THANK YOU.. Have to agree with this one. Alan is the man and has spent more than a minute or 2 drafting out explanations so that even a total dumba$$ like myself can get to grips with the finer points of Subaru tuning. What a star.[]
frank c Posted September 16, 2006 Author Posted September 16, 2006 Cheers Alan, The drive through was more than worth while.. I'm still struggling to comprehend the feeling i got when you took me out for a wee blast .. Did i imagine it ..or is your car really that MENTAL.... ) Cheers Frank
wilky Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 It was Alans car that inspired me, It really is a work of engineering marvel, true testimony to the man himself. Callum W
AlanG Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 It's quite strange Frank isn't it? It doesn't seem right the way it accelerates now. It's like a car shouldn't go like this!! [], it's not meant to do that!! Need to get you back out wilky to see what you think. It's moved on a fair but since i last took you out. [] but as i said above, that's it, no more tuning on this engine. [] I'd like to have a quick word if possible wilky over something we spoke about a few weeks ago. I'll PM you and take it from there. fai17 Any word on what happened at Crail with yours?
fai17 Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 Not yet m8[]but should be going in on Monday

I just can't compare it to any other car i've been in before..And it's drivable too (well for the insane anyway) lol.. WOOOOHOOOOOOO Cheers Frank
