sws down again?

i submitted a support ticket and was told the server is showing as ok. just a bit of a high load, but you have to expect that with the level of hosting you have purchased.

 

so yes something has to be done.

Dam... could not get on again so uninstalled Norton and bypassed

router...waste of time seems others are getting the same problem...Oh

well time to put notron back on and sort the router...

Just get SWS cannot be found now....Tried a ping and that also cannot find SWS.....

We have resent the login details to your primary email address.The server on which your site is hosted is currently experiencing load issues.We are working on it,and normal service will be resumed shortly.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Server Delos is up and all the services are working fine now.

I have just checked, and the load is showing a warning level, much more people visit any of the sites hosted on the server and we will go down yet again.

Dear Members,

I would like to apologise for all the down time we have been having of late, our webhosts have finally admited that most of our problems is down to load on the server.

all though this is out of our controll, we know it is not acceptable, and are working to resolve the situation.

I have already started looking at alternative hosting.

I have also spoke with our current hosts and Have told them i expect to be transferred to a More reliable server Immediatly.

weither or not this happens i do not know.

if it does, then unfortunatly the site may go down during the transfer.

Once again i apologise, but assure you we are doing everyting we can.

Not managed to get on SWS for some time now...Tried again this morning/afternoon but no luck yet again...[]

I got on earlier this morning and have been able to log on now but only 1 post

Seems strange that some can get on SWS and others (well I) cannot.

I have removed Norton and removed Firewall also removed my router. But

I still just timed out. Tried the laptop straight into the modem but

still get timed out.

Have tried Mozila but nothing Been trying Explorer and just get the search page with links to SWS but these also time out.

I have given up all hope of getting back on SWS. Be putting norton

firewall and router back and doing a scan for viruses as the norton has

been off all day.

This viewing of the  SWS forum is getting beyond a joke. Why should any viewer of the forum have to turn basic softwear off. If i was a new member i would not bother to join. Out of all the forums that i use, and its a few. I have never had a prob like we have on southwestscoobies.org.

With so meny scooby forums on offer, What would you do? Easy go somewhere else.

Thats why i am trying to keep this one updated with meets etc - this was one of the original sites set up and phil has always been helpful with this area, im sure he may be able to advise derek of possible servers or any help
