granby Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 I bought a personalised registration off newreg.com on Saturday, now this reg has been on there website for ages so i finally decided to put a bid in for it which they accepted, today i get a email saying this "Thank you for your recent offer to purchase the aforementioned personalised registration mark. Unfortunately, the registration mark is no longer available for purchase and New Reg have subsequently amended the information on newreg.com. Please accept our apologies, P*** R******* (Ext.1009) shall call you shortly to discuss other possible combinations. Alternatively, you may re-visit to select another mark from the listings In the event that you find a suitable replacement you may reply to this email, itemising the combination(s) that would suffice as a replacement, after which we shall contact you to confirm availability. Please be rest assured that NO funds have been debited from your account." Thanks a f****** lot newreg.com and no i won't be selecting another reg from your listings [:@]
T123VOR Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 I dont think a lot of their regs are actually for sale My bosses one comes up POA? He isnt selling it Same with his wifes? Trevor Got mine straight from the DVLA
AllenJ Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 Sorry to hear that Ian. Just to let you know the personal plate i bought in 2003 from DVLA is still up for sale on newreg My advise is to search for the plate on the DVLA site before buying elsewhere. TBH, i found it cheaper and safer buying from DVLA. Good luck
prodrive tony Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 B'stards. See SCO8BY or something like it on a merc today, what a waste!!
markie Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 They knew it would be wasted on a silver wagon[][][]
prodrive tony Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 I'd love to get a dog, but not enough to buy a wagon. lol.
baser999 Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 We said it sounded a good price - its obviously to lure you in at which point they hit you with the numbers they do have by which time you're so determined to buy a cherished plate you fall for their prices. Shame though Ian as it would have made a nice set with the other guys. You can buy my no. if you want then change your first, middle and surname so its personal to the plate lol

imprezyou Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 I have just seen my reg for sale on e-bay ????????????? hows that then, i wrote to the seller and they replied thanks for letting us know we will check with the dvla . ????????? only checked because of this thread . cheeky B*****ds
Montythegod Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 I bought 2 through DVLA and it was the safest and quickest way to do it... on my car within 2 weeks. I tried to sell a reg on one of the other sellers and it never sold ( wanted twice what they were giving me for it) and they told me they quite often stick up fake plates and if they get and offer go and find the actual owner and make them a good offer.... usually the owner refuses and you get let down... always seen the scooby ones on ebay and thought... sure someone on sidc has got that !
HOL Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 Why do you think my username is simply 'HOL' [] Named after a numberplate!
