fai17 Posted August 25, 2006 Posted August 25, 2006 Gents, can we keep this on topic and factual please. Not accusing anyone of anything yet, but you all know the score. Thank you for that. I suspect this thread is likely to be closed anyway, considering Stephens comments, but for what it is worth, their are always two sides. Engines break all of the time. They are machines, machines have a limited life, particularly if they are not well maintained or operated beyond their normal parameters. You are 100% correct about that...engines do blow when operated beyond the factory parameters
WUZ Posted August 25, 2006 Posted August 25, 2006 Trying to tell us something about your car after the "run-in" with Blue Thunder Peter? Russell
fai17 Posted August 25, 2006 Posted August 25, 2006 Smoke and lots of it[] but all it's still well tho

st3ph3n Posted August 25, 2006 Posted August 25, 2006 Craig, I think it was just his crank breathers depositing a wee spot of oil onto the hot exhuast. Nothing to be concerned about. Can be fixed using a catch can.

Did you get to the bottom of the problem? Craig Didn't put oil in her till i got home and had to put 1 litre of fully synthetic.[]

Can be fixed using a catch can. 100% correcto but i ain't using a normal oil catch can but a Forge oil baffled catch can that recirclates oil to the sump so there is no need to empty the catch can and the fact there is alway 4 litre of oil in the sump and not 3 litres of oil in the sump and 1 litre of oil in the the catch can.
st3ph3n Posted August 25, 2006 Posted August 25, 2006 No point doing anything by half is there Peter? [] Good choice.
