chris_c201 Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 Well Folks, The Subaru goes off to a new home tomorrow and later in the evening i pick up my new car.... Mondeo TDCi Ghia X.... got all the gadgets a guy could ask for including xenons, electric leather seats, climate, cruise, parking sensors, built in sat nav etc etc.... i'm excited about it! (surprised that i'm saying that bout a Mondeo (rep mobile)!! Biggest thing i think i will miss about going from a Subaru to a diesel..... NOISE... Even with just the decat downpipe n STi backbox although subtle it sounded luvverly..... Ah well, 40+ mpg, safer license, cheap insurance and tax should help ease the pain, that plus next July ish i'll be buying a nice little track toy that may be an RA of some description depending...... I'll still be kicking about the forums anyway!! Cheers, Chris
david_taylor Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 Used to have a Mondeo, and they are really good cars. I even considered a ST220 prior to the Subaru, till I seen the price! Although they are rare and hold there price! Why you get rid of the Scooby?
chris_c201 Posted August 18, 2006 Author Posted August 18, 2006 Puzzled, whats good and whats a shame, lol.... Reasons for getting rid - Mixture of things but i guess biggest driver was day to day costs, i'm saving for a new house and the extra cash will come in darn handy, it also means i will have a garage which will house my track toy. Currently i use the scooby for commuting 99% of the time which is pointless really.... Plus i have 6 points n very nervous bout getting more!
wrxmania Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 Good luck with the new beast - will the new owner be a Scottish Scoobies member? Brian []
chris_c201 Posted August 18, 2006 Author Posted August 18, 2006 Depends on who the garage sell it to!! lol Ended up selling it back to Scoobaru...
