Have a look at the pics, see that split in the join of the turbo to the up pipe, please say that is meant to look like that [;)][:P]

I have located where the smoke is coming from, it's directly below the silver coloured boost pipe in the pics, that seem like a leak from the rocker cover gasket?

that's not actually a split, it's where the turbo mates to the uppipe and is ok. If there is smoke coming from there try tightening the bolt to the left of your screwdriver. The bolt to the right is on the stabalising bracket, although it doesn't affect the seal between the turbo and uppipe, it's worthwhile seeing if it's tight as if it's a little loose it may be allowing the turbo to move leading to a leak.

That silver coloured boost pipe is actually a water pipe with heat protective covering over it.

Most likely you have a rocker cover seal leak which is dripping the oil onto the up-pipe and burning off. There is a D shaped seal near the top of the rocker cover as well and probably the source of the leak.

It is booked into Hypertech later on this month to have it sorted out, and to stop me getting even more paranoid!

Oh, and about the boost pipe.......a knew that really, honest[:$]

The split looks to me like the bracket that holds the up-pipe to block has broken and came off, or has been cut off some time ago.

Theres another bracket on the other side of the up-pipe anyways, so no biggy.

Doh!! didn't notice you meant smoke from below the water pipe, thought you meant from where the turbo joins the uppipe.

Dave, the  bracket sits exactly the same on my car and doesn't mine look broken, i think it may just be a space between bracket and turbo.

I could be wrong... wouldn't be the first time..lol
