st3ph3n Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 Rims are 17"x7" as standard and are currently shod with Bridgestone RE050s in 215/45/R17. Any advantage on moving to a wider tyre of say 225 with either 45 or 40 profile? Obviously that affects speedo accuracy but I've checked that out already. - http://www.gailmail.co.uk/tyresizer.asp Will be going for either the Goodyear Eagle F1s or the Toyo T1-Rs
ANDYJDMSTI Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 going 40 or 45 will give you a nicer ride i.e you do not feel every little road imperfection that you do with 35's i'd also stick with the 215's, if you start going wider without a wider wheel then you may get more movement in the tyre.
