What size of tyres for a 05 WRX?

Rims are 17"x7" as standard and are currently shod with Bridgestone RE050s in 215/45/R17.

Any advantage on moving to a wider tyre of say 225 with either 45 or 40 profile?

Will be going for either the Goodyear Eagle F1s or the Toyo T1-Rs

going 40 or 45 will give you a nicer ride i.e you do not feel every little road imperfection that you do with 35's

i'd also stick with the 215's, if you start going wider without a wider wheel then you may get more movement in the tyre.
