rae_sti Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 As some of you know im an engineer working in the roadworks between J18 (Bath) and J19 (Bristol M32) we are changing position over the next few days (closer to J18) the new works will consist of around 6 km of narrow lanes with a 50 speed limit in both directions. on the previous section we had 6 'flasher units' fake speed cameras that flash at people who speed through them giving them the impression that they have been caught. we only had these because the safety camera partnership (robbing *******s imo) were overstretched on road work enforcement and couldn't supply us with proper cameras. the new phase will have ACTIVE AVERAGE SPEED CAMERAS for the entire length of the works, these take a photo of every car that goes through them and time how long it takes you to get to the next one, if you speed you will be caught! just giving you guys a heads up to try and protect your licences Ed you prob drive this every day []
