warby Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 100. Optijucice is only made for the UK so Shell have decided to bin it and just use V power over here to.
daniel Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 Be worth you going on the France day out that way you can treat your car to some real fuel[] Take a few empty containers and bring some back duty-free [] I'll bring my flask[]
eurosti Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 Sory to hijack i run my jdm classic on this in Germany and i know alot of forces scooby pilots do also. The other alternative for you guys coming for the Rally is Aral ultimate, There are no BP stations left in Germany Aral is the replacement but im led to believe the fuel is the same. Octane booster is hard to find over here so stock up. V power is currently 1.34euros a litre Ultimate was 1.34 last time i looked. German Fuel Benzin 91ron Super 95ron Super Plus98ron V-Power100 Aral Ultimate 100[]
baser999 Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 Markie, looks like you're gonna needs lots of anal power for Germany then ..........or have I misread that lol Now wheres my glasses?
Dalthegooner Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 V power is lauched over here at the end of August. Got any info as to where its gonna be introduced first Pete? or is it gonna be a countrywide thing?
HOL Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 I have heard and read that it is just the european name for Optimax and hence only 98-ish? Would like to be proved wrong though!
Dalthegooner Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 There is conflicting evidence. If you look at here theres a technical data sheet that says its between 101 and 102ron but if you look here this is a leaflet from Ireland that says its 95ron. They've also just introduced a v power diesel. After reading a bit I think the v power is a fuel that is designed to keep the engine internals in tip top condition thereby getting the most power possible from the fuel and is released in all different grades. Guess we'll have to wait till its released to see which grade we get.
baser999 Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 You suspect that its not gonna be cheap so may as well start saving for it now
Dalthegooner Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 If its gonna be replacing optimax then hopefully the price will be comparable. Although considering the rip off prices that BP are charging for their 102 ron juice then I suspect you might be right Barry [:@]
